Support the First-Ever Portishead Armed Forces & Emergency Services Day!

On Saturday 3rd July 2027, the iconic Portishead Lake Grounds will host a historic milestone: our town’s first-ever Armed Forces & Emergency Services Day.

Our armed forces personnel, veterans, and blue-light emergency responders make incredible sacrifices for our safety every single day. This is our moment as a community to stand together and give them the massive, heartfelt thank-you they truly deserve…But to bring this vision to life, we need your help.

The Goal: Keeping it Affordable for Everyone

Bringing a safe, inclusive, and world-class event of this scale to Portishead costs around £40,000+. We are completely committed to keeping this event affordable and free for children so that every local family, veteran, and resident can join the celebration without barriers.

Where does your money go?

Every single pound raised goes directly into making the day unforgettable. Your donations fund:

· The Main Arena & Staging: Creating the platforms for military displays, service demonstrations, and live entertainment.

· Critical Logistics & Safety: Sound systems, traffic management for our park-and-ride, medical cover, and site security to ensure a safe day out for up to 15,000 visitors.

· Family & Youth Activities: Keeping interactive kids' zones, educational exhibits, and community attractions for all families.

How You Can Back the Brave Right Now

We cannot do this without the generosity of the Portishead community. Here are the two most powerful ways you can support the launch today:

1. Make a Donation on GoFundMe

Whether you can give the price of a morning coffee or a larger corporate contribution, every penny brings us closer to the £40,000 milestone. No donation is too small.

2. Spread the Word

Word of mouth is our greatest asset. Share our GoFundMe link on Facebook, WhatsApp, and with local groups, businesses, and neighbours. Let’s get all of North Somerset talking!

"Year-round sacrifices deserve a proper community thank-you.

Let’s show our forces and emergency services exactly how much Portishead appreciates them. Stand with our heroes today!"
